Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of self-management behavior norm on diabetic retinopathy development.Methods The patients with diabetes mellitus who were diagnosed diabetic retinopathy were selected totaled of 197 cases and divided into two groups ac-cording to pathological changes.The patients in the control group adopted the existing treatment and nursing, the patients in the experimental group were treated with centralized and targeted self-management education.The patients'HbA1C were measured before the test.After the test, the all patients’HbA1C and vision were measured 3 months, 6 months, 9 months later.12 months later diabetic retinopathy progress was compared between two groups.Results The progress of retinopathy in experimental group was more slower than that of control group. The difference had statistical significance.Conclusions Setting up self-management education class, evolving quality and direct self-management education can help patients to control and postpone the development of diabetic retinopathy and improve the patient’s quality of life.
