Abstract
The phase velocity dispersion of the Rayleigh waves on surfaces of GaAs crystals having different roughness has been measured by laser-acoustic wave equipment. Applied model of a rough film with zero elastic moduli explained the effect of roughness on the acoustic surface wave phase velocity and showed good coincidence with the experimental data.
