Abstract

Summary The two-year field experiments (2009–2010) were carried out to compare the reaction of 10 winter wheat cultivars to retardants chlormequat chloride (Antywylegacz plynny 675 SL) and trinexapac ethyl (Moddus 250 EC) used together. Retardants were applied at three growth phases: BBCH 31, 32, 37. The total amount of active ingredients per 1 ha was 2.17 kg of chlormequat chloride and 150 g trinexapac ethyl. During wheat vegetation at the shooting (BBCH 33), heading (BBCH 51) and flowering (BBCH 65) phases, the amount of selected nutrients (P, K, Ca, Mg), in dry weight of above-ground parts of wheat plants was estimated. During the shooting, heading and flowering phase there was no significant difference in the amount of P, K, Ca, Mg in dry weight of above-ground parts of winter on the plots treated with retardants, in comparison to the control samples.
