Abstract

Gachsaran oil field, one of the most important Iranian fractured reservoirs, was discovered in 1928 and now has more than 320 producing wells. It has an anticline structure 80 km long and 8–18 km wide. The average porosity of the reservoir is about 30%, decreasing with depth.
