Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of implant and fixed denture on periodontitis and dentition defect. Methods Seventy cases of periodontitis with dentition defect from February 2016 to February 2017 in Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital were selected. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random digital table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received fixed denture implant repair, and the observation group received implant prosthesis, the patients were followed up for 1 year after repair. The repair effect after the oral health status and the improvement of inflammatory reaction, 6 months, 1 year after treatment between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). The oral health status of the group was better than that of the control group before treatment(P<0.05). All the indexes of the inflammatory reaction were lower than those before the treatment and were significantly higher than those in the control group, the differences were significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The effect of implant denture on periodontitis with dentition defect is better than that of fixed denture, and the patient’s oral health is improved obviously, and the inflammatory response of gingival crevicular fluid is significantly reduced.
