Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of psychological intervention on mental health of nurses in Supply Room.Methods Twelve nurses in Supply Room in our hospital from March 2010 to March 2013 received the psychological intervention.The mental health status was scored and compared by Symptom Checkdist-90 (SCL-90) between pre-intervention and post-intervention.Results The scores of SCL-90 including somatization,obsessive-compulsive symptoms,interpersonal relationship sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostile,terrorist,paranoid and psychosis were respectively (1.3 ± 0.3),(1.2 ± 0.2),(1.1 ± 0.1),(1.1 ±0.1),(1.2±0.2),(1.2±0.2),(1.0±0.1),(1.2±0.4),(1.1 ±0.2) after intervention,and lower than (1.8 ±0.4),(1.7±0.4),(1.5±0.4),(1.8±0.5),(1.8±0.5),(1.5±0.3),(1.4± 0.4),(1.5 ± 0.3),(1.4 ± 0.3) before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant (t =2.39,2.37,2.31,2.42,2.40,2.28,2.30,2.26,2.27,respectively; P<0.05).Conclusions The effective psychological intervention can significantly improve the mental health status of nurses in Supply Room,improve the quality of work,and is worthy of clinical promotion.
