Abstract
The factors are analyzed, which influence both the hybridization thermodynamics and the DNA/DNA-duplex stability. The non-competitive hybridization of the DNA as well as the competitive hybridization on the surface are investigated. It is shown that the binding to the intercalating ligands results to an increase in the selectivity and sensitivity of the DNA chips.
