Abstract

The redox properties of anode supported cells with Ni-YSZ anodes initially reduced at different temperatures were investigated through monitoring the changes of ohmic resistance and open circuit voltage of anode supported cells by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique. The results show higher temperature reduction can reduce the reoxidation rate and relieve the damage to electrolyte film. The different nickel particle size distribution, as a result of different temperature reduction, should be responsible for the different redox properties.
