Abstract

Chocolate spot lesions developed on dry field bean leaflets inoculated with conidia of Botrytis fabae when the r.h. of the air was 92–100%, but only rarely when ca −50 bar. Germination of conidia and infection are discussed in relation to spore water content and nutrient availability.
