Abstract
The effect of fatigue damage on the dynamic natural frequency response was studied over the entire fatigue life process for tensile-shear spot-welded joints. The results of the experimental study showed that the changes to the specimens’ natural frequency varied non-linearly with the cycle ratio or damage fraction, and that relatively large changes in the natural frequency could be measured near the end of the fatigue life.
