Abstract

It has been found that during exposure to UV light, which is absorbed by titanium dioxide obtained by dispersing a rutile crystal in air, water effectively interacts with the lattice oxygen of the metal oxide with the subsequent release of oxygen into the gas phase in the dark and with the reduction of titanium dioxide.
