Abstract

Introduction: Although the manipulation of exercise and dietary intake to achieve successful weight loss has been extensively studied, the effect of exercise itself on energy intake is not well understood. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the time of day that exercise is performed (morning compared to afternoon) on short-term energy intake. Methodology: Nine healthy male participants completed three trials; morning exercise, afternoon exercise and control (no exercise) in a random crossover design.
