Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of chiropractics combined with swimming therapy on neonatal neurobehavioral development.Methods 116 healthy full-term neonates born in our hospital were divided into a study group and a control group.The study group received chiropractics combined with swimming therapy after bathing,while the control group received bathing alone.All the neonates were assessed by the NBNA scale on days 1,5,and 42 after birth.Results The NBNA score was higher in the study group than in the control group on days 5 and42 (P<0.05).Conclusions Chiropractics combined with swimming therapy plays a marked role in acceleration of neonatal neurobehavioral development,thus it is worth popularizing clinically.
