Abstract
An investigation was carried out into the effect of boron and chromium boride micro-additions on the phase composition of electrode materials based on VK6M hard metal. Optimum alloying electrode composite compositions were established for the ESA of type 45 steel. The most favorable conditions were determined for ESA with alloying electrodes made of WC-Co-B and WC-Co-CrB2 composites.
