Abstract

The present study reveals the effect of incorporating bioactive nanoceramics in Xylan/Chitosan conjugate scaffold matrix to be used for bone tissue engineering application. A comparative analysis was performed by incorporating different concentration of HAp and Bioactive glass nanopowder in X/C matrix. The fabricated porous composites were analyzed by FTIR, XRD and SEM. Mechanical performance. Swelling, Mineralization, Cytotoxicity and Cell attachment study revealed variation in properties on tuning nanofiller type and its respective concentration. 30% HAp incorporated nanocomposite proved to be best suitable material of choice for bone repair.
