Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of aerosol inhalation therapy of pulmicort respules combined with Combivent and the holistic nursing care on elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods Sixty-four elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were chosen and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,each with 32 cases.The observation group received the aerosol inhalation therapy of Pulmicort Respules combined with Combivent and the holistic nursing care.The control group received the aerosol inhalation therapy of Combivent and the routine care.Results The total efficiency of the observation group was 87.50% and was obviously higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (x2 =7.224,P < 0.05).The SAS score and the SDS score of the observation group were obviously lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (t =10.045,11.007 ;P < 0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was 96.88% and it was obviously higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (x2 =8.285,P <0.05).Condusions The aerosol inhalation therapy of pulmicort respules combined with combivent and the holistic nursing care on elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have significant effect and deserved promotion.
