Abstract

The behaviour of a gas cylindrical bubble in a non-uniform alternating electric field is investigated. The bubble is surrounded by an incompressible fluid and is bounded in the axial direction by two parallel solid surfaces. It is assumed that the velocity of the contact line is proportional to the sum of the deviation of the contact angle and the velocity of fast relaxation processes, whose frequencies are proportional to twice the frequency of the electric field.
