Abstract
Objective To study the effect of psychological nursing combined with electroacupuncture on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with anxiety. Methods 56 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR) admitted to the Acupuncture Department of Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August 2017 to October 2018 were selected and divided into 2 groups according to random number table method, with 28 patients in each group. The combined nursing group was given psychological nursing intervention and electroacupuncture treatment, while the simple western medicine group was given oral ibuprofen sustained release capsule and fluperidone metrixine tablets. After 30 days of treatment, the Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) score, visual analogue scale (VAS) score and clinical efficacy of 2 groups of CSR patients were evaluated. Wilcoxon rank sum test was used to compare the clinical efficacy of CSR patients in the two groups. Non-parametric test and t test were used to compare HAMD score and VAS score of the 2 groups. Results The results showed that 13 cases in the combined nursing group were cured, 10 cases were markedly effective, 3 cases were effective and 2 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 92.86% (26/28). In the simple western medicine group, 8 cases were cured, 7 cases were markedly effective, 7 cases were effective and 6 cases were ineffective. The total effective rate was 78.57% (22/28). The total effective rate of CSR patients in the two groups was compared, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-2.052, P<0.05). After treatment, HAMD scores in the combined nursing group and the western medicine group were lower than those before treatment (Z=-4.63, -4.47, all P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, HAMD score of the combined nursing group was lower than that of the western medicine group (Z=-2.57, P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. VAS scores in the combined nursing group and the western medicine group after treatment were lower than those before treatment (t=-15.93, -7.36, all P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. VAS scores in the combined nursing group after treatment were lower than those in the western medicine group (t=-7.38, P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The combined nursing group has an ideal curative effect in the treatment of CSR with anxiety, and is superior to the western medicine group in the improvement of clinical efficacy, HAMD and VAS, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
