Abstract

Background We evaluated a coordinated and tailored work rehabilitation intervention (CTWR) aiming to facilitate return-to-work (RTW) of sickness absence beneficiaries with mental health problems. The intervention was a collaboration between a Danish municipality and a private rehabilitation team and was externally evaluated by our research group. We hypothesised that recipients of CTWR would return to work faster and have a lower risk of recurrent sickness absence and unemployment than recipients of conventional case management (CCM).
