Abstract

Brain electrical activity alterations in acute ischemic stroke are related to neurophysiological changes during hypoperfusion as manifestation of neurovascular coupling. EEG could be applicable for bedside functional monitoring in the hyper-acute phase of ischemic stroke. This study aimed to investigate the relation between EEG changes and ischemic core-penumbra CT Perfusion (CTP) volumes, and their association with neurological deficit in the hyper-acute phase of ischemic stroke.
