Abstract

This activity aims to introduce financial management in order to reduce consumer behavior in young children in Waimital Village, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency so that the socialization participants who are young children have references regarding financial management and how to save so they can plan your finances and be able to save early. The activity was carried out using a lecture and question and answer method, taking place offline on 06 and 07 November 2023 at 16.00 – 17.00 WIT, at the Raudhatul Jamil Al-Quran Education Park (TPQ), Waimital Village, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency. Participants are young children. The resource person is Putri Syarifudin. The results of the activity showed that the information transfer process could take place well and there was a response back in the form of questions from the students which reflected their curiosity about the material presented. Through the explanations given, the socialization participants appeared to have sufficient information about how to manage finances well in order to reduce consumptive behavior. The socialization participants finally have references regarding financial processing, so they can plan and even start saving early. Activities like this need to be developed and implemented for children in other elementary schools, especially in rural areas, so that they can motivate young children to get used to saving from an early age.
