Abstract
The international scientific conference “Efficient waste treatment – 2018” (EWT-2018) took place in St. Petersburg from 13th to 14th of December 2018. It was managed by Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. During the conference, multiple progress reports of research projects in the areas of waste recycling and energy efficiency were presented. Professors, scientists and representatives of industry and governmental organizations did those reports. New relationships between scientists and industry representatives were established.EWT-2018 has collected 87 report by researchers from 10 countries. Presentations by various scientists have provided a review of latest achievements and future prospects in the area of recycling of various wastes for future processing. Informal meetings held during the event allowed some potential partners to establish contact, share new project ideas and start fresh collaborations.
