Abstract

Introduction: Incessant atrial tachycardia is an uncommon arrhythmia. The diagnosis is suspected in patients with unexplained rapid resting heart rates and P waves inconsistent with a sinus origin. The diagnosis may be difficult if the ectopic rhythm is located close to the sinus node. Moreover, the anatomical substrate of this arrhythmia has not been defined.
