Abstract

One of the earliest effects of testosterone in immature male rats is the influence on the incorporation of labelled uridine into the RNA of the accessory sexual organs. Looking for other early effects we checked the possibility of an interaction of testosterone T and 19-nortestosterone(oestr-4-en-17β-ol-3-one) NT with the metabolism of L-histidine in the brain. It is known that T decreases the urinary excretion of histamine.
