Abstract

ABSTRACTThe main characteristics of the induction system are described. The cytological evidence for early discrimination between organogenesis and embryogenesis is presented. The immature zygotic embryo (JZE) is a tissue with a high morphogenic potential lie established an in vitro system for regeneration of fertile plants of sunflower where either direct organogenesis or direct embryogenesis could be induced on 6 mm IZE, according to the specific medium used (I). Both morphogenic responses shared important features, such as the zone of induction and timing. This raised questions about the induced structures, in particular, if and at which time their origin and development can be distinguished.
