Abstract

The production of pairs of Higgs bosons in e +e − annihilation in the standard model can only proceed at the one-loop level in the limit that the electron mass is ignored. In E 6 models we show that the existence of exotic leptons and off-diagonal Higgs boson couplings can lead to an appreciable rate for the e +e −→2H 0 process at the tree level if the mixing between ordinary and exotic leptons is not too small.
