Abstract

Lattice gases, introduced recently as a way to calculate viscous flows at moderate Mach and Reynolds number, are currently the object of intense research. Among the variants of the initial proposal of Frisch, Hasslacher and Pomeau (1), the case of lattice gas mixtures has proven to provide an efficient means of studying hydrodynamical flows with free boundaries (2–4).
