Abstract

For periodic signals from machinery, those sampled by A/D converter are no longer periodic under speed-varying condition. For this reason, Fourier-based methods are not applicable any more. Many methods are proposed to tackle this problem especially in recent years. Different kinds of machinery are with different speed variations, also with different measuring systems. Up to now, however, there is no deep investigation on how current methods are applicable to different working conditions and what direction shoud follow in the future. In this paper, current methods for speed-varying machinery dynamic signal analysis are reviewed, including order tracking, cyclostationary analysis, time-frequency analysis, EMD, etc. Finally, further work along this direction is discussed.
