Abstract

Compact pattern with maximised channel borrowing (CPMCB), a novel dynamic channel assignment strategy (DCA), provides efficient spectrum reuse in cellular mobile networks. Numerical examples show 8% more traffic carrying capacity than borrowing with directional channel locking (BDCL), and ~80% more compared with the fixed channel assignment strategy (FCA).
