Abstract

Sojvolytic cleavage of oxime carbamates can be achieved by dye sensitized photooxygenation. A study with substituted oxime carbamates has revealed an unusual chemoselectivity of singlet oxygen towards carbon—nitrogen single bonds in preference over carbon—nitrogen double bonds in such compounds.
