Abstract
The all-pass C-section is introduced as a replacement for the classic quarter-wave section in the design of wideband dual-band impedance-matching networks. First, the impedance-matching properties of the all-pass C-section are presented, showing its dual-band behavior. Second, a simple adaptation to dual-band designs of the well-known wideband designs with binomial and Chebyshev responses is introduced. Finally, a dual-band power divider is presented, as a test of the introduced design technique.
