Abstract
An original technique is presented for measurement of flow rate in a duct, based on acoustic pressure measurements on the tube wall and single frequency excitation. A relation between the cross-section average velocity and two acoustic pressure phase differences can be obtained for particular frequencies. This method is carried out in an hydraulic circuit. The results are in good agreement with measurements using an industrial flowmeter.
