Abstract

A review of drug interaction has been presented. Attention was directed to the ability of certain pharmaceutical agents to influence drug metabolism by inducing changes in the liver microsomal enzyme system. The importance of altered hepatic enzyme function in explaining untoward effects in drug therapy was noted. The possibility of utilizing this phenomenon as a specific therapeutic modality was suggested.
