Abstract

This article seeks to clarify the legal position on driving by people who have been discharged from emergency departments or minor injury units after treatment for injuries. It discusses a literature review about the advice such people are given and the advice they want, and the responsibility of clinicians in providing this. It also provides examples of written advice on driving after discharge.
