Abstract

We reported the draft genome of Elstera cyanobacteriorum, containing 3.95Mb. The G+C content of the genome is 62.4%. This strain possesses motility and chemotaxis genes, multiple carbon substrate utilization gene clusters and denitrifying reductase gene clusters. The sequence will provide the genetic basis for better understanding of adaptation to cyanobacterial aggregates and nitrogen removal during cyanobacterial blooming.
