Abstract
The problem of the indentation of a doubly periodic system of punches into an elastic layer is considered. For a relatively thick layer and relatively large values of the semiperiods, an asymptotic solution is obtained. As an example, the cases of a doubly periodic system of plane, inclined and elliptical (in plan) punches and a doubly periodic system of parabolic punches are studied.
