Abstract
Doping effects on thermal diffusivity have been investigated in pyrochlore Sm 2-x Sr x Mo 2 O 7 (0.2≤x≤0.6) by means of mirage effect at 300K. Substitution of the Sr ions for Sm ions increases the value of the thermal diffusivity from 0.49 cm 2 /s at x=0.2 to 0.58 cm 2 /s at x=0.6. The increase of the thermal diffusivity is ascribed to the variation of the structure of the pyrochlore.
