Abstract

A theoretical model describing the motion of a domain wall in a ferroelectric is developed within the framework of the nonstationary Landau-Khalatnikov equation. The impact of the electric field and the wall curvature on the domain wall motion velocity is investigated. As an example of the proposed approach, we consider a domain wall in BZT ceramics under the influence of the electric field of a piezoforce microscope tip.
