Abstract

We have studied the method of dynamic domain observation of an electrical steel sheet under rotational magnetic field excitation by 30kV scanning electron microscope. By using this technique, we can observe the individual image at different phases of drive field, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of rotational losses characteristics in the electrical steel sheet at commercial frequency. In this paper, we observed the domain movement pattern of silicon steel by changing the frequency of the rotational magnetic field excitation. The domain movement pattern is compared with that of alternating excitation.
