Abstract

According to E. Becher (Mnch. Med. W., 1926, No. 12), both experimental studies and clinical observations give a negative answer to this question: with kidney failure and real uremia, the amount of intermediate products of protein breakdown and intestinal putrefaction products in the blood of patients after bloodletting does not decrease.
