Abstract

This article discusses the Global Educational Pact with the temporality as a key that is, specially the categories of present and future. It makes firstly a mapping of the theoretical indicators that inspired Pope Francis in this convocation. Then, it continues by acritical analysis of the risks that the proposal contains, as well as the possible impacts, waysof action and horizons brought by the Global Pact. Finally, it elaborates a discussion about the implementation of the pact, pointing to three temporal movements aiming at its success:the transition from fantasy to dreams, from dreams to utopia and, finally, from utopia to the Kingdom. In this movement, the many dimensions of the Pact are revealed, but the mainone is the ethical dimension of responsibility for the present and future of education.
