Abstract

The performance is evaluated for a hypothetical CDMA digital cellular telephone system whose reverse link uses /spl pi//4-DQPSK modulation and equal gain RAKE diversity combining. The results are shown numerically in comparison with those for Qualcomm's (IS-95) CDMA cellular system, which uses 64-ary orthogonal modulation on the reverse link.
