Abstract
In this paper, a linear parameter-varying (LPV) controller with extended state observer (ESO) is designed to reject the disturbance of morphing aircraft during shape varying. Considering additional forces and moments due to transition process of morphing, the longitudinal nonlinear mathematical model of variable span-sweep morphing aircraft is established. After transforming the nonlinear model into affine LPV system, the gain scheduling controller is designed. Therefore, the flight stability of morphing aircraft is guaranteed during the shape varying process. To compensate the disturbances caused by additional forces, moment and aerodynamic uncertainties, an ESO is applied to estimate the system states and disturbances of morphing aircraft. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed controller is validated through numerical simulations.
