Abstract

The distribution of a radio-carbon-labelled encephalitogenic factor (EF) has been determined after inoculation into rats and guinea pigs. Considerable amounts of 14C label are to be found in the bone marrow and circulating lymphocytes. Enough is present in the latter to result in active immunization when large numbers of lymphocytes are used in passive transfer experiments.
