Abstract

A discussion of the aforementioned article, published in this journal (Volume 130, No. 12, December 2004) is presented. The discussers present another method to estimate the extent of liquefaction-induced lateral spread. Dimensional analysis is used as a basis for the proposed method. The discussers agree with the authors that all the current analytical tools currently available provide relatively inconsistent predictions of observed lateral ground displacements.
