Abstract

Weak anti-D immunization, which appeared to be of IgG type, was detected four months after delivery of the first group-compatible, Rh-positive baby of a mother who had previously experienced three miscarriages in the first trimester. Titres fell during the next few weeks to only trace reactions by albumin and papain technique at 12 months post partum. No antibodies could be detected, even by the papain technique, during or at delivery in the subsequent pregnancy, in which the baby was again group-compatible and Rh-positive.
