Implant-based breast reconstruction is the most common means to restore the breast following mastectomy for breast cancer treatment or risk reduction. Many patients chose implant reconstruction secondary to the advantages of a shorter operative time, lack of donor-site morbidity, and quicker return to normal life activities.
