Abstract

A new solution for implementing dynamic spectrum allocation (DSA) principles is described. It is based on using the Technoconcepts’ direct conversion from RF to baseband transceiver chips. Such RF/D^TM chips convert the received signals into digital form immediately after an antenna making it possible to provide all required signal processing in digital form. It yields systems capable of operating in different dynamically allocatable frequency bands and allowing integration of different types of services including voice and multimedia. These systems may be not only frequency agile and protocol independent, but configuration agnostic as well
