Abstract

Purpose: There is a paucity of studies evaluating the relationship between age and femoral dimensions. The current study sought to evaluate longitudinal and isthmic growth in the pediatric femur. This study also sought to determine the ability of pediatric femurs to accommodate flexible nails. We hypothesized that femoral length, isthmus width, and the ability to accommodate flexible nails would be closely correlated with chronological age.
