Abstract

We briefly introduce a digital technology for fusion and how the technology is applied to develop the Virtual KSTAR (V-KSTAR). Aiming a comprehensive virtual platform for fusion researches, the V-KSTAR is developed with capabilities 1) to virtualize the KSTAR main device, 2) to handle various fusion data systemtically, and 3) to visualize fusion data in an integrated way. We also discuss the implications of the V-KSTAR for KSTAR researches along with a couple of exmaples to demonstrate the capabilities of the V-KSTAR.
